Singapore Mass Rapid Transport (MRT)
The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a rapid transit system that forms the major component of the railway system in Singapore since 1987. At present, there are 6 operational lines encompassing 241 kilometres (150.0 mi) of route, with the newest operational line being the Thomson-East Coast Line. Future plans for the MRT consists of another 2 lines which are currently under construction.
