Gali Batu Depot

Gali Batu Depot Stabling Yard and Bus Terminal, located along Woodlands Road, integrates green features such as a green roof to cool the environment, solar panels, and water-efficient taps.

The Downtown Line depot at Gali Batu is an eco-friendly facility and the first MRT depot in Singapore to achieve the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark Gold certification. It provides maintenance services for the Downtown Line of the Mass Rapid Transit system, with the capacity to stable up to 81 trains. It includes a seven-storey office building housing the Downtown Line Operations Control Centre, along with administrative and support offices.

The bus depot project features a five-storey main bus depot, a three-storey administrative building, and a five-storey dormitory. It is equipped with parking spaces for 715 buses, refuelling and washing facilities, and repair and maintenance facilities with advanced technology to support the operation of electric buses. This project is also set to achieve the BCA Green Mark for New Non-Residential Buildings, incorporating numerous green features.
