The seminar aims to empower stakeholders to adopt innovative solutions and align with national and global sustainability goals, ensuring data centres remain future-ready and resilient in the face of environmental challenges.

Who should join:

  • Data centre operators and developers
  • Sustainability managers and professionals in the IT and digital infrastructure sectors
  • Consulting engineers and technical specialists in data centre design and operations
Speaker 1: Tracy Liu (Senior Manager, BCA)

Session Title

Data Centre Sustainability: Implementing the Latest Green Mark Standards to Support Digital Infrastructure Growth

Synopsis

This presentation will explore the latest Green Mark for Data Centre standards (GMDC: 2024), focusing on energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable design practices. We’ll discuss the new Green Mark requirements for Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Total System Efficiency (TSE), alongside innovations in cooling technologies, renewable energy integration, and carbon emission reporting and reduction strategies for data centres. The talk will address challenges and opportunities in achieving Green Mark certification, featuring case studies of successful implementations and their environmental impact. We’ll also examine how these standards support sustainable digital infrastructure growth in Singapore.

About the Speaker

Tracy Liu is a Senior Manager at the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore. With over a decade of experience in Green Mark Standards and data centre sustainability, Tracy has been instrumental in developing and implementing the latest Green Mark for Data Centre (GMDC: 2024) criteria, as well as the Green Mark 2021 criteria. She has contributed to more than 100 Green Mark projects, including over 30 data centre certifications.
